Friendly Hills Camp & Conference Center is a non-profit organization. We have partnered with Journey Home Foster Care to offer a week long Summer Camp Program as well as offering other experiences throughout the year. The harsh reality for foster children is that their childhood isn’t normal. Being removed from your home because of abuse or neglect and being placed somewhere with someone you don’t know is simply frightening and traumatic. Journey Home understands that children learn from their experiences. Children in foster care have already had many obstacles in life, and Journey Home wants their experiences in foster care with them to be positive. Journey Home works to build lasting connections to help children realize their full potential, to give them a reason to have hope, to believe in themselves again, and to begin to heal physically and mentally. Journey Home Foster Care does more for their children and families than any other agency. Their children are surrounded by people that are dedicated to offering them a different path in life. They have hands on Foster Care Coordinators, Mentors that are assigned to their children, and incredible activities and programs that they provide on a weekly and monthly basis that we help partake in.
